Capital Accounts were established in 1996 and our accountants have provided a valued service to its customers over many years. We have worked with new start-up businesses with the backup and support and advice that businesses need to develop and grow. The demands of a new business can be very difficult with the ever changing economic environment and with the introduction of new technology creates added pressure. Bookkeeping

There are several bookkeeping programmes available on the market. Some are tailor made for specific business needs, but can be too complicated for the smaller buisness. We offer help and advise in keeping the information simple and basic, so as not to confuse.

Payroll

Sage payroll is the universal wage programme offering a full payroll service. The information is stored within the programme making processing the weekly or monthly payroll very easy. A specialised unit for payroll can produce payroll information and process reports.

Financial Reports

Reporting to the banks is always a problem when preparing your own records. You are not always able to supply them with the information they require. This can be an expensive exercise when asked to do so without any proper accounting methods in place.

Vat Returns

Where customers are registered for VAT is essential that they are producing the correct information for the Customs and Exercise. Where errors are made penalties and interest charges can prove a very expensive exercise.

Year End Accounts

For the larger business that required the weekly or monthly bookkeeping service for quarterly VAT returns, the completion of financial year-end accounts and income tax returns are a by-product of the service that we provide.

Self-Assessment Tax returns

Whether you are self-employed or a Company Director you will need to complete a Self-Assessment Tax return. Having all your records prepared and presented on time will avoid penalties and charges and ensure you are compliant with HMRC

Business Plans

Every business should have a business plan, whether Tesco supermarket or a self-employed painter and decorator, a business plan will assist in making the business successful in guiding through the financial changes a business must undertake in order to grow.

Training

We ensure that our team is up to date with all the current legislation there is a training programme for our team of apprentices with the Association of AAT Membership. We ensure our team are guided throughout their career with training and qualifications.

Collection & Delivery

In order to obtain the maximum efficiency in the service, we can offer a collection and delivery service of the records and information in order that the customer is not without the information and records that are vital to everyday business routine

MAKE TAX DIGITAL

The Government has proposed to introduce electronic filing of all VAT returns from April 2019. Businesses will not longer be able to complete the online VAT returns on the HMRC Website by just filling in the boxes the information must be downloaded from accountancy software specified and compatible with HMRC requirements.

This facility will provide HMRC with more information to make assessments of compliance where VAT information is provided digitally. Exemptions to providing this information electronically will only be made in very exceptional circumstances where proof can be provided that electronic information is impossible to process details of which are provided on HMRC website.
